Chula Vista: Stabbing & Large Fight at Park 04202019

A large crowd (thought to be overflow from the Chicano Park Celebration) were present at the park. Police received a call of a man being stabbed. When officers arrived, a large fight was taking place at the entrance.T his fight hindered the Police from getting to the victim.
More officers arrived to get control and people started fleeing.
The stabbing victim was found with serious injuries and was transported to UCSD. The Harbor Police were called for assistance to bring their boat and search the coastline of the park to search for anyone involved. The Police do not know if the stabbing and the fight were related.
The officers were questioning everyone leaving the park, but out of the hundreds of people, no one saw anything. One person was arrested for being “Drunk in Public”. The Police shut down the park early.
