Australia votes: Climate change main issue as voters head to polls Australians voting for a new national parliament on Saturday will either extend the six-year rule of the centre-right Liberal-National Coalition or elect the main opposition party, the centre-left Australian Labor Party.

While climate change remains the main issue for voter's, refugees, immigration, the economy - and in the final days of the campaign - same-sex marriage continue to be ballot issues.
