Star Wars Episode 9 has raised many skeptics, but with this news that George Lucas was first spoken with by JJ Abrams before starting the script for Rise of Skywalker...then I think things are going to be pretty good! George always had a plan for Palpatine to come back, and I think that's part of where JJ got the inspiration. I also believe it will help tie in George's prequels with Anakin and the Originals with Vader, allowing the story to make perfect sense.
