May Budget | Freelance Di$advantages | Aja Dang I'm Aja Dang. I realized I may seem kind of (depressed?) in this video but I assure you I am not. Just stressed and tired, which I normally am but I guess I'm just mentally trying to figure out how I'm going to get through the next couple months - balancing my student loans while also turning our new apartment into a home.

Freelance work is fun: you work from home, you work by yourself (perfect for my fellow introverts) BUT you get no health insurance AND you don't know when or where your next paycheck is coming from.

I struggled with the threat of having enough money for years so I made sure that I always had money in my checking account at the end of the month and I built my emergency fund to something I wouldn't be scared of dipping into. I've been doing all of this for over a year so even though I was $5000 over budget this month, I had that money in my account so I'm not in the red (technically).

Getting out of debt is really hard and we all need to do what we need to do in order to feel comfortable with the journey.
