What is the reason for creating new members in my model when crossing a member with another one?



Answer:



Provided the “Auto Connect Members” function is activated, the member that is touching the start or end node of another member is split. If this function is not activated, this means for the RSTAB model that the members are not connected to each other.



Members such as e.g. the wind bracings of a hall that intersect each other are not split by this function.



To activate the function, use the shortcut menu in the RSTAB or RFEM model.
