Russia MiG Aircraft Corporation has sent the first generation MiG-35 generation 4 ++ fighter jet to the country's Air Force, CEO of MiG and Vice President for Military and Technical Cooperation at United Aircraft Corporation Ilya Tarasenko said on the sidelines of Le Bourget's air show on the day Monday. "Yes, they [the first MiG-35 fighter jet] have been sent and we fulfill our contract on schedule," he said.
The MiG-35 is the most sophisticated multirole 4 ++ generation fighter jet, which is a follow-up to the MiG-29K / MiG-29KUB and MiG-29M / MiG-29M2 aircraft. The flight test began and the international presentation was held in January 2017 and in December of that year the aircraft factory test was completed.
The MiG-35 is designed to operate in areas of armed conflict that are very intensive under conditions of dense and layered enemy air defense systems. He is able to carry out complex multipurpose tasks in operational and tactical environments that are constantly changing on the battlefield and attack air, land and sea targets.
The first contract for the delivery of six MiG-35 fighter jets in 2023 was signed by Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko and Head of the Russian Aircraft Company Yuri Slyusar on August 22, 2018 at the 2018 Army weapons exhibition at Kubinka outside Moscow.
