American Bandstand 1967 -Hollywood Hotline…Felix Cavaliere- How Can I Be Sure, The Young Rascals Airdate: September 23, 1967

“How Can I Be Sure”, with lead singer Eddie Brigati, is at #26 today on its way up to #4 in 4 weeks. Both songs, ”Groovin’” and “How Can I Be Sure”, were inspired by a young woman (high school student) that Felix fell in love with in 1966 named Adrienne Becchuri.

The “album coming out” that Felix mentions here is “Once Upon A Dream” which will be released in February 1968 and will feature the song “It’s Wonderful”. This will be the first album where they will drop the “Young” and be known as simply “The Rascals”
