Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Hon. Mereseini Vuniwaqa today urged senior executives of the private and public sectors to champion gender parity. Speaking during a session on 'The Equality Space' at the 2019 Tope Executives Conference (TOPEX), she added that organisations whether public or private needed to ensure gender equality to then perhaps "self-identify as a diverse and inclusive group of humans, all working together to disband unequal systems and advance gender equity for the benefit of us all."
"We have got to also make it part of our own personal mission to talk against inequality, encouraging women to never give up on pursuing her dreams and ambitions; and promoting resilience to shatter every possible layer of the glass ceiling that there is above us."
The 2019 edition of the conference will conclude tomorrow.
