CRIME NEWS: Grandmother Killed By Close Relative; Body Found Along Foreshore In Mucurapo

An 85 year old grandmother was killed on Sunday evening by a close relative at her home in Pierre Road, Charlieville.

Wheelchair-bound Polly Bahadur was found badly beaten just af­ter 6 pm. A male relative is in police custody, assisting homicide officers with their investigations. This is the second killing of a woman by a close male relative as a pregnant Cunu­pia res­i­dent Rox­anne Mack was chopped to death on Saturday night.



In a separate incident, on Monday morning, a Debe Farmer was found dead at his home at Boodoo Branch Road. Hemraj Sinanan was found shot to death and tied to a chair next to his bed. The details are still coming in.



Meanwhile, Police are trying to identify the body of a man who was found along the foreshore in Mucurapo on Monday morning. According to police, the body bore gunshot injuries.

It is believed that the body was dumped from a passing vehicle.
