Zack explains how we build successful brands. Your dream collection begins with the kick off meeting. Don’t forget to bring the completed cheat sheet and reference samples. Many people forget this first, crucial step. Next we’ll review the timeline, price points, and fabrics. For the fixed portion of the meetings there are multiple rounds of sample developments which will require reference samples. Then it’s time to design the patterns from the reference samples. Once the first samples have been completed, a first fitting will be scheduled; followed by a second/final fitting. Outside of the fixed meetings, feel free to use Indie Source’s resources as much or as little as you need to. Three resources that Indie Source has are Project Managers, Graphic Designers, and Pattern Makers.
Our knowledgeable Project Managers come directly from top industry brands.They know how to create a brand from scratch. The PM works directly with clients to select fabrics, build tech packs, and communicate with vendors and internal teams. Their knowledge about fabric function helps you to figure out what fabrics you should use for certain projects, and which ones would be the best fit for your overall budget. We believe that transparency regarding our services and sourcing pricing is the key to creating successful and strong relationships.
The staff of talented Graphic Designers are here to assist you with any graphic needs, and are part of the variable portion of the assistance that Indie Source can give you.
Pattern Makers help you take the dream collection from concept idea, to detailed pattern, to reality. They’ll build the highest level Gerber patterns you’ll ever see! You’ll own the digital patterns. If you make similar styles in your brand, it's good to have them on hand. You only have to pay for the work that we do. For example, we can turn a long sleeve into a short sleeve shirt, and you’ll only pay for the work we do on that. Our Pattern Makers are always cutting, sewing, and are cross-trained in many areas of garment construction. By the time we are done with the second fitting we should be ready to go into production.
