What’s up? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and Emma Chamberlain is literally having the year of her life. From growing to over 8 million subscribers on YouTube to teaming up with Louis Vitton, everything she touches is turning to gold in 2019.
And as much of an open book Emma is on her channel, we have some facts about her that only her REAL fans will know.
And even some of them may be surprised by these.
First is something that some people know, but not many have seen first hand.
Emma Chamberlain was a competitive cheerleader.
Yes you heard me. Emma who wears minimal makeup and doesn’t do crazy hairstyles, once was a competitive cheerleader who dressed like this.
Or this.
But for real, actually like this.
Back in early 2018, Emma even tweeted this video of her out on the floor.
I know it’s hard to picture now given how chill Emma is, but I love that this is part of her past.
And in case you already knew that fact…
Something else you may not know about Emma is that her YouTube channel, which is now full of relatable vlogs and hilarious collabs, started as a DIY channel.
One of her first videos from back in 2017 is her showing us how to DIY Rose Patch Vans.
Oh my gosh how cute was she?!
Now Emma vlogs about more important things like…
Living on her balcony for 24 hours.
Cleaning out her closet.
And trying meat for the first time.
Speaking of which, another fact you may not know about Emma is that she’s been a vegetarian her entire life.
Like I said, she actually tried meat for the first time on her channel, which went viral, like all her videos do now.
But her very first video that went viral in 2017 is called “we all owe the dollar store an apology.”
And this seemed to set the stage for all her videos going forward.
Her channel was already on the rise at the time but this was one of the first glimpses her subscribers had into her sarcastic and funny personality.
And since then, she hasn’t looked back.
And thank goodness for that.
