His entire presidency relies on fearmongering and scare tactics — either terrifying his base over what will happen to them without him or attempting to frighten his opponents with threats. Donald proved this fact during an Oval Office interview with the far-right news outlet Breitbart News when he issued a thinly-veiled threat to Democratic party members warning that his base his full of “tough people” who will only use their toughness when provoked to a “certain point.”
“It’s so terrible what’s happening,” Trump began.
You know, the left plays a tougher game, it’s very funny,” he continued. “I actually think that the people on the right are tougher, but they don’t play it tougher. Okay?”
