Boris Johnson calls for General election on December 12 Boris Johnson will table a General Election motion on Monday, as he calls for an early poll on Dec 12.

Piling pressure on Labour to back his plan, he said if MPs wanted more time to study his Brexit deal "they can have it but they have to agree to a General Election".

In a letter, the Prime Minister called on Jeremy Corbyn to "end this nightmare" and take decisive action to get Brexit done.
