1. Chocolate-Covered Bananas
You'll Need:
- 1 banana
- 10 oz melted chocolate
- 3 oz chopped hazelnuts
- 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
Here's How:
Remove the banana peel, cut the banana in half, and cut off a small section of the pointed end so that the banana can stand upright. Carefully hollow out each banana half with a knife. Melt the chocolate, dip the the thinner side of the banana halves about halfway in, and sprinkle chopped hazelnuts on the chocolate end. Stand the banana upright and let the chocolate set. Boil a can of sweetened condensed milk for about 4 hours – this will turn it into dulce de leche (Tip: Boil the sweetened condensed milk before you prepare the bananas). Once the can has cooled, pour the dulce de leche into a piping bag and fill the hollowed-out sections of the bananas with the caramel cream.
