Keith Whitley loved fast cars, and fast motorcycles—one of the late country singer's Harley-Davidson bikes was put on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Even 30 years after his death, Whitley remains an admired figure within the American motorcycle community, something that's underlined annually during the Keith Whitley Memorial Bike Ride in Middle Tennessee. In 2019—the same year the exhibition "Still Rings True: The Enduring Voice of Keith Whitley" opened at the Museum—fans, admirers, family, and friends hit the road for the Ride to celebrate Whitley's life and enduring impact on country music. Hear from some of them (including Whitley's son, Jesse Keith Whitley, and guitarist Randy Hayes) here.
"Still Rings True: The Enduring Voice of Keith Whitley": open May 3, 2019 – April 5, 2020.
