Melding Guide for the Facet Crafting Gears - FFXIV Shadowbringers 5.1. These are my suggestions for an affordable melding pattern for this gear set. The way we meld always depends on the supply of materia that we have on hand.

Melding is best viewed as a cost vs benefit process. I'm able to save hundreds of grade VII materia by not doing a fifth meld on each piece. The last meld really isn't needed, excellent stats without it, plenty to do any rotation successfully. I'll have more than enough grade VII for the endgame 3 star sets.

Depending on your supply of materia, you can use grade VI in the main slots instead of grade VIII. We have crafting rotations and macros that will work for you.
