WATCH: Democrats say it’s a ‘solemn day’ after impeachment inquiry resolution passes House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff said it was a “solemn day” in the nation’s history after the House of Representatives voted on Oct. 31 to pass a resolution laying out how the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump will proceed. Schiff joined other House Democratic leaders, including House Judiciary Committee chair Jerry Nadler, to address next steps for the inquiry.
