- When we ask for photos and serial numbers on your cats, it's important for us to identify the make of the vehicle it's from, but also if it's an OEM or aftermarket part. When you are scrapping an aftermarket catalytic converter, it will be worth MUCH less compared to OEM parts because of the amount of precious metals that are inside. We request that you do NOT remove the honeycomb from inside, because otherwise you will be paid a very low per pound price.
