On December 22, PM Modi addressed a rally at Delhi's Ram Lila Maidan and said that the Opposition has been lying to the people of India on NRC. He said that his government has made no plans for a pan-India NRC. This statement by the Prime Minister is in sharp contrast to what the Home Minister had been saying in election rallies and events.
