Prince Charles Attends Commissioning of HMS Prince of Wales Aircraft Carrier

Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, attended a ceremony at Her Majesty's Naval Base Portsmouth to formally welcome the HMS Prince of Wales into the Royal Navy.

The £3.1 billion aircraft carrier is the second Queen Elizabeth-class vessel after twin ship HMS Queen Elizabeth.

To celebrate the occasion, the Royal Navy also gave Prince Charles the new title of Commodore-in-Chief, Aircraft Carriers.
