Samoa measles outbreak: At least 60 dead, mostly children under four More than 140,000 people have died from measles worldwide since 2018, according to new estimates from the World Health Organisation.

The most deaths were among children under five and babies.

Samoa has shut down all non-essential public services after an outbreak of the disease killed 60 people.
