Contrary to the propaganda by most western media, Which for the most part portray Africa as a Dangerous and Bad Continent, Africa is actually a safe continent to visit. Yes there are some regions in Africa marred with Violence and insecurities but that does not apply to the entire continent. So in no particular order, here are the Top 10 Safest Countries in Africa.
10. Lesotho
Officially the Kingdom of Lesotho, Lesotho is an enclaved country within the border of South Africa. It is one of only three independent states completely surrounded by the territory of another country, and the only one outside of the Italian peninsula. Lesotho is just over 30,000 km2 in size and has a population of around 2.1 million. Its capital and largest city is Maseru and the official languages of the country are Sesotho and English. In Lesotho there are several effective and efficient police service which ensures national security. Crime rate is very low in Lesotho and the Kingdom enjoys a lot of peace and serenity due to government effort. Tourists looking forward to visiting the kingdom of Lesotho have little or nothing to worry about in terms of crime and insecurities.

Zambia is generally considered as one of the safest countries in Africa due to its low Crime rate and efficient forces of law and order. Located in the southern part of Africa, Zambia has a population of about 17.3 million people and a surface area of about 752,618 km2. Zambia offers miles and miles of endless wilderness to explore. Malawi is a landlocked country in southeast Africa that was formerly known as Nyasaland. It is bordered by Zambia to the northwest, Tanzania to the northeast, and Mozambique on the east, south and west. Malawi spans over 118,484 km2 and has an estimated population of 181 million people. Lake Malawi takes up about a third of Malawi's area. Malawi’s capital is Lilongwe, which is also Malawi's largest city. When it comes to safety, Malawi is always on the list of the safest countries in Africa. Hundreds and thousands of Tourists visit the country every year but little or no incident of theft and robbery is recorded. This is due to the fact that the Malawian government is putting a lot of effort to make the country a safe heaven for both its citizen and its foreigners.

Now Kenya is one of the most beautiful and visited country in East Africa. The Country is safari heaven for the millions of tourist that flock into the country every year. Kenya is located in the eastern part of Africa and has a population of about 47.5 million people and a surface area of about 580.367 km2. Kenya is one of the most culturally diverse countries in Africa a traits which makes it a must go to country for Tourists looking forward to exploring the African continent.
