Transforming the Linc Centre in Bow, Tower Hamlets!

Carleen De Sözer is a street artist and creative, but her work goes beyond simply painting murals. She engages with the community around her, her paintings start conversations, and her interactions with locals and passers-by inform her art.

#paintthechange uses street art for social action, sharing the stories of those who make our communities stronger.

We partnered with Carleen to transform the Linc Centre building in East London by painting four portraits which celebrate the passion and hard-work of local community workers.

These #localheroes - working across Linc, We are Spotlight and Poplar HARCA - were voted to go on the wall by members of the centre. Helping local youth to engage with their passions and exploit their talents, they encourage younger generations to reach their full potential.
