Email webnews@mirror.co.uk  The luxury hotel, described as 'the jewel in Ayrshire's crown' with a five-star rating from Visit Scotland on its website, falls under the plush Costley chain.  One furious diner posted on Trip Advisor: "What a total disaster and disappointment.  "It was £85.00 a head, no canapés, no bread rolls, help yourself to drink sitting on the bar, no waiter service, no waiters.  "A room of 160 people crammed to capacity like a work's canteen.  "People were walking out and complaining everywhere you looked.  "We will never return."  A second wrote: "The Christmas lunch, 2pm serving, was a complete and utter disaster.  "When seated no one offered to get our drinks, no water on the table.  "An hour and a half later, still no one came for a drink order.  "The staff were all walking about like headless chickens, with no idea what was going on.  "There were empty bottles piled up on the floor, staff couldn’t even clear the tables away and there were empty cracker wrappers all over the floor.   "I had a one-year-old who had been sitting in a high chair for two hours without even a bread roll to keep him occupied. "A 'manager' made an announcement with a half heartfelt apology, admitting the lunch was a “shambles” and he would bring prosecco round.  "During his speech a full table stormed out shouting 'I’m off' and everyone cheered.  "It was like something from a panto."   The customer continued: "The turkey was dry with hardly any vegetables on the plate, no sauces or condiments offered. The salmon was tiny and completely burnt, inedible. "I wouldn’t even expect this service in McDonald’s yet alone Lochgreen."  A third blasted the management.  They said: "I have never experienced such incompetence and general mismanagement married with cavalier indifference all directed to patrons who had spent their hard cash to treat their families to a luxury Christmas meal.
