THOUSANDS of mourners chanting 'death to America' mobbed a funeral procession for Iran's top general and other militia killed in a US airstrike branded an 'act of war' by Tehran. General Qasem Soleimani - head of the feared Quds force - was taken out by Pentagon drones on Friday morning near the Iraqi capital Baghdad's international airport.
Tehran has since vowed "harsh revenge" on America sparking fears of an all-out war, however President Donald Trump insists he ordered the attack to PREVENT bloodshed.
The White House says twisted Soleimani was plotting a series of attacks that endangered both American troops and officials.
