Videos can use content-based copyright law contains reasonable use Fair Use ( ONE in four youngsters referred to specialist mental health services are rejected for treatment, a report says.  About 133,000 children and young people were turned away in 2018-19.  Some had self-harmed, experienced abuse or had eating disorders, according to a study by the Education Policy Institute.  Most often, they were ineligible for treatment because they did not meet age or other criteria.  It was unclear what support was available after they were rejected, said the institute, which analysed data from 62 out of 64 mental health providers in England.  The researchers found that average waiting times from referral to start of treatment had fallen since 2015.  But they also said that wait was an average of two months — double the Government’s proposed four-week target.  In some areas, children were waiting as long as six months before being able to get treatment.  Emma Thomas, chief executive of mental health charity YoungMinds, said there could be “devastating consequences” if young people did not get support.  An NHS spokesman said: “The NHS is actually ahead of its target on ensuring as many children as possible receive mental health care.” GOT a story?
