President, cabinet to take salary cut to meet part of cost

Across the border in Zambia, President Edgar Lungu and his cabinet will take a salary cut. This is part of measures to reduce the impact of a 115 per cent power hike announced on Friday. The southern African country is experiencing a severe power shortage after a drought induced drop in water levels at its hydro power plants.
