Surgical Drain Removal | 6 Days Post-Op | West Hollywood, CA | Dr. Jason Emer

After HD Lipo or any surgical procedure in the abdominal area, drains are sutured in place to drain the fluid that begins to accumulate in the area so that the risk of infection and alteration of results are reduced. However, at some point, these drains have to be removed due to the plaque (dried blood and fluid) that begins to build up in those tubes. This patient came in for a routine post-op lymphatic drainage massage and before we began, we took out the drains to create a clean exit point for the lymphatic fluid.
