El Salvador Flower Route and Santa Ana Volcano | 90+ Countries with 3 Kids

El Salvador Flower Route and Santa Ana Volcano | 90+ Countries with 3 Kids Join us for a tour of the Flower Route (Ruta de las Flores). It is one of El Salvador’s most popular tours because of its picturesque abundance of flowers along the 22-mile road. It is surrounded by mountains as well, it looks divine and if you have time to make a few stops, you get the chance to visit many wonderful villages like Nahuizalco, Juayúa, Apaneca.

In addition to the flowers, there are many coffee plantations that you can see along the road. Coffee is a really important national product, and you get the opportunity to see the beans up close in its natural form. On this tour, we’ve really got the chance to explore different parts of this country.

We enjoy a full 2 day tour with Ivan from Real Trips which included a hike up the Santa Ana volcano.)
Here’s the link to his site:

Ivan took us to a lake canyon near Santa Ana, Lago de Coatepeque. Then around the flower route stopping in little villages with Central parks, churches, a christ statue, markets, look out points … and to the hotel at night. We ended the day with hot springs!!!

El Salvador has a bad reputation for being dangerous but we felt safe the whole time we were there. We walked around all the little towns along the Flower Route and had no problems at al.

Enjoy the video and make sure to let us know where you’re watching from!
