Cristiano Ronaldo has been performing his heroic duties for Portugal both on the pitch and off it after stopping the team bus to pose for a photo with a young fan.

According to Portuguese publication Flash, Eduardo Moreira was holding a sign for the Juventus superstar that said the following: "Cristiano, give me a hug."
And when Ronaldo spotted the child holding the sign, he demanded that the team bus be stopped and security brought the boy on board for a photo.

Flash also says that the 11-year-old has battled leukaemia for the past decade, making this moment even more special for Moreira.

Talk about oozing pure class, right?

Unsurprisingly, fans have shown nothing but praise for the Portuguese superstar after the video started to make the rounds on social media.

"You can't not respect this," one Twitter user wrote in response.

Someone else said: "Class act."

A third wrote: "Not all heroes were [sic] capes. @Cristiano, class [act]."

A fourth added: "I may think [Lionel] Messi is better, but Ronaldo is a class act, awesome dude."
