Adapted from the French song “Mia Mie,” this ballad was performed by Kathryn Grayson in the 1945 MGM film “Anchors Aweigh” and later enjoyed a 1958-59 revival with Paul Anka’s dramatic hit version (listen here: ) The original 78rpm single was issued on Decca 23348 - (All Of A Sudden) My Heart Sings (Rome-Herpin-Jamblan) by Hildegarde (vocal & piano), conducted by Harry Sosnik, recorded June 9, 1944
