The marketplace on Facebook is filled with all sorts and if you’re looking for a vintage bike there are plenty of them around. It’s a free platform for users to shift some of their old “junk” so from time to time you will find some bargains. Not everything is listed on the marketplace though. This particular bike was found in one of the UK groups for bicycle sales and those posts don’t always carry through in to the marketplace.
It was just a random encounter with this bikes for sale post that got me interested. There seemed to be a bit of conversation going on around the bike and it’s £100 price tag. I’m almost certain it had been described as junk and it seemed nobody could see the potential in the bike. I contacted the seller and after a brief discussion bought the bike for half the listed price. The seller didn’t know it’s origins and was thinking the bike was newer than it is but he was happy to hear of the work I’d put in to it.
This is where the video begins. How do you think the build should go? What colour would you like to see? Let me know in the comments.
