Today's Lesson is I Choose the Joy of God instead of pain. Pain arises out of personal identity, the desire to experience separation from all that is- the Father. As Jesus says in the Lesson, when it is experienced in any form, it is proof of self-deception. Jesus makes it absolutely clear that there are simply no exceptions to this statement, and when we look with the Honesty of God - directly in the Light of Divine Being in the Light Circle, we can experience this directly. Pain is desired experience and can be transcended in every case by asking Jesus to reveal the underlying desire to keep pain rather than experience the infinite peace of true identity.. When seen in the Light of Truth, the Light of Divine Being, pain is seen as untrue and merely a mistaken perception.
In Light we see that even if we desire a dream of not knowing who we are it is impossible to experience independence from all that is. We have only to claim our Divine Inheritance. We gather each day in our one function, the recognition and the celebration of God. What could be more valuable than to see through direct experience that we are one with the Father?
In Jesus: A New Covenant, Jesus points to the power of direct experience of the Light within to clear denials of divinity. In Light Circles we focus on the Light first, and in this Light beliefs and desires that seem to deny Awareness of unconditional Love, our true nature, are quickly cleared.
