Sochi is such a noisy modern city, I could never imagine that there are any abandoned places here. It had been renovated before the Olympics 2014, that is why I was sure that it is impossible to find any abandoned Soviet places here. But I was wrong! And today I want to show you an abandoned Soviet Sanatorium Ordzhonikidze - a real masterpiece among abandoned places of the Era of Stalin. This great place appeared in Sochi in the Soviet Union before the Great Patriotic War. It was built to give the Soviet workers an opportunity to spend vacations by the Black Sea. It is situated near the dacha of Stalin and looks very luxurious! Once it used to be one of the best sanatoriums in the USSR. But now it is one of the most beautiful abandoned places around the world! This abandoned sanatorium impresses by its size. It consists of several palaces - good examples of the beautiful Soviet architecture. Its territory is also huge. You can get lost exploring it. This masterpiece of Stalinist architecture is an important part of the rest of the Soviet culture and history. I`m sure that we should care about it! There must be no abandoned Soviet places in modern Russia because they are very important for us - they are the parts of our past that we should save for future generations!
