The building bridges initiative secretariat meets tomorrow for the last sitting, to adopt its report on a raft of proposed prescriptions to long standing national issues that trigger contested elections every five years. The taskforce held a marathon meeting today to tidy up its report, with joint secretary Paul Mwangi hinting at recommendations that will be a ‘drastic departure’ from how things are managed currently. But as Francis Gachuri reports, statements by President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga calling on citizens to support BBI could point to a likely amendment to the constitution.
