I’ve secretly been stripping the whole time I’ve run this page. (Context for people watching this on youtube: I've been running an instagram page with a whole different brand before this). Why would I keep it a secret? Well, first of all, I didn’t think I would it enjoy it as much as I do and therefore didn’t think I would want to do it for as long as I am. Second, the MASSIVE STIGMA against strippers in our society. I don’t like feeling trapped in a situation and I didn’t want to be stuck in that job because of the stigma against strippers. I was afraid that a company would find my Instagram and go “nuhuh, too wild, cant do it”. Then I had an epiphany: I have the opportunity to live my life on my own terms, standing for what I believe in (however controversial) and being proactive about that. I don’t need to work for a company that has traditional (and in my opinion backwards) values. Believe it or not, money isn’t my number 1 priority. My number 1 priority is freedom and through that freedom being able to have my own opinions without being scared of what people will think or getting fired. I’m pretty sure the term is f$$$ you money. That’s why I started this page to begin with. To get out of “the rat race”. So I don’t have to work for a company that’s not progressive and doesn’t align with my values. I’m only pushing forward an agenda that opens minds and opens hearts and I’m not going to support or work for a company or person that discriminates again past sex workers. Regardless, if this page pops off I might not even have to 😜 so in this page I’ll be speaking about the experience of being a stripper as well as making social commentary on the bs biases and stigma and social/political facets of the job.
