Minister for Industry, Trade,Tourism and Housing and Community Development Mrs Premila Kumar. challenged a panel discussion on housing and real estate pricing today to come up with a report to assist the housing industry in Fiji move forward from where it is today. She made the statement as she opened a workshop on public perception on quality and affordability in housing sector in Fiji.
"If we got to focus on law and order, we got to do things in the right way," she said referring to unscrupulous dealers within the housing and real estate sector.
Minister Kumar challenged the workshop delegates on the compliance of law within the real estate sector which is something government want to capture and to improve pricing.
She encouraged consumers to come forward to the authorities on questions and complaints.
