The family of the rape victim and parents of other students staged a protest outside the school on the second day on Tuesday, demanding immediate registration of a criminal case of negligence against the management for trying to cover up the incident. The agitating parents had reportedly been threatened by the police at the instance of the school management on Monday night. Women demonstrators alleged that the DSP misbehaved and threatened them to end the protest on Monday night.
DSP Harkrishan Singh, however, refuted the allegation and said: “I am a responsible police officer. I didn’t say anything to any of the protesters. The accusations are false.”
The protesters also alleged that school authorities had not provided the CCTV footage to the victim’s parents or the police.
