This is the adorable moment a young refugee girl was mesmerized by a Sikh aid worker’s large fluffy beard. In the cute footage, the youngster from Syria – who was between two and three years old – joyously squeezed the facial hair of Ravi Singh, the founder of Khalsa Aid, from the UK. Ravi, 50, and Khalsa Aid had been distributing water to over 12,000 refugees in the Iraq Kurdistan Bardarash Camp in late October. Earlier in the week, the aid group had met the girl. Then, days later, she recognized Ravi, and her family invited him in for a cup of tea. The girl wanted Ravi to hold her, and in the footage, she can be seen with a “Mama, see” impression on her face, as she shows her mother Ravi’s beard and turban. The moment was captured on video by Ravi’s colleague, Sozan Fahmi, and he hopes others will see this video of a happy girl from Rojava and realize “refugees are just like us.”
