Pep Guardiola has come to Jurgen Klopp's aid after the Liverpool manager has drawn criticism for his decision to play a weakened team in Liverpool's FA Cup replay.
Klopp has been derided for declaring his intention not to pick any first-team players for next week's FA Cup replay against Shrewsbury, because it clashes with their mid-season break.
And Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola backed his counterpart's decision.
"We accept the schedules of the competitions, the games every two or three days, but don't tell the manager the selection he has to choose," said Guardiola.
The Liverpool boss has also insisted he will not take charge of his side for the replay, and Guardiola didn't seem to quite grasp this aspect of the fiasco.
He added: "We will be there, but don't tell us which players we have to play in games."
No, he won't be there Pep, that's the big problem.
Guardiola also moved to clarify his post-match comments about the failure of City fans to fill the Etihad for Sunday's 4-0 FA Cup win over Fulham, which drew a crowd of just 39,000.
